ARRIVAL IN YEREVAN – REPUBLIC SQUARE – CASCADE COMPLEX

  • Our Christmas journey begins early in the morning as we assemble at Cochin airport at 01.30 .Later depart from Cochin on Air Arabia Flight 3L128 at 05:00 hrs, arriving in Abu Dhabi at 07:45 hrs.We then board our connecting Air Arabia flight departing Abu Dhabi at 09:00 hrs for Yerevan, the beautiful capital of Armenia. Upon arrival at Zvartnots International Airport, we are warmly welcomed by our local representative and transferred to our hotel.After completing the check-in formalities and taking some time to relax, we begin our first exploration of one of the world's oldest capitals.

A magnificent Christmas tree rises proudly in the centre, surrounded by sparkling lights, colourful decorations, seasonal music, and cheerful holiday gatherings. The atmosphere is lively, festive, and perfect for capturing unforgettable photographs.Walking through Republic Square during Christmas offers one of the most memorable experiences in Armenia.We continue to the impressive Cascade Complex, one of Armenia's most famous landmarks.This massive limestone stairway consists of multiple terraces connected by grand staircases, contemporary sculptures, artistic fountains, and beautifully landscaped gardens.As we climb higher, spectacular panoramic views of Yerevan unfold before us. On clear winter days, the snow-capped Mount Ararat provides a breathtaking backdrop to the city skyline.We continue our leisurely walk along Northern Avenue, Yerevan's most fashionable pedestrian boulevard.Elegant boutiques, cafés, restaurants, and luxury stores line both sides of this lively avenue, making it one of the city's favourite gathering places.

  • This evening, we enjoy one of the most memorable cultural experiences of our tour traditional Armenian dinner accompanied by live folk music and dance performances.Armenian cuisine is deeply rooted in history, with recipes passed down through generations. Prepared using fresh local ingredients, aromatic herbs, traditional spices, and authentic cooking techniques, every dish reflects the country's rich culinary heritage.As we savour the delicious flavours of Armenia, talented musicians fill the atmosphere with traditional melodies played on authentic Armenian instruments.   • Our f irst destination is the picturesque mountain resort town of Tsaghkadzor, whose name translates to "Valley of Flowers." While famous for its colorful meadows during spring and summer, Tsaghkadzor transforms into a spectacular winter destination during December.Nestled amidst the forested slopes of the Tsaghkunyats Mountains, this charming resort town is known for its pristine natural beauty, crisp mountain air, and peaceful surroundings. We can also enjoy optional winter activities such as snowmobiling, skiing, sledding, and ATV rides (subject to weather conditions and at an additional cost).

The monastery stands on the very site where Saint Gregory the Illuminator was imprisoned for nearly thirteen years before converting King Tiridates III to Christianity. Snow covered hills, peaceful villages, ancient churches, and distant mountain peaks remind us why Armenia is considered one of the hidden gems of the Caucasus.The festive decorations that illuminated Yerevan throughout our stay, the joyful Christmas spirit shared by the local people, and the warmth of Armenian hospitality make our farewell even more emotional.Though our time here has been brief, the experiences we have enjoyed have been truly timeless.We board Air Arabia Flight 3L442, departing Yerevan at 13:15 hrs and arriving in Abu Dhabi at 16:25 hrs. Upon arrival, we complete our transit formalities before boarding our connecting Air Arabia flight to Kochi.Our onward flight departs Abu Dhabi at 22:55 hrs, marking the final leg of our wonderful Christmas holiday. As we fly home, we carry with us unforgettable memories of Armenia's ancient history, breathtaking landscapes, warm hospitality, and the magical spirit of Christmas that made this journey truly extraordinary.
