Day 1

Arrival in Maun

  • Arrive at Maun International Airport and transfer to your lodge in Maun, the gateway to the Okavango Delta. After settling in, meet your guide for an introductory briefing about the upcoming adventure. In the afternoon, enjoy a leisurely boat cruise on the Thamalakane River. This relaxing cruise provides your first opportunity to spot some of Botswana's diverse birdlife and perhaps even a few hippos or crocodiles in their natural habitat.
  • As the sun sets, return to your lodge and unwind. Enjoy a delicious dinner featuring local cuisine, and soak in the serene atmosphere of your surroundings. Use this time to prepare for the exciting days ahead, where you will explore the vast and diverse ecosystems of Botswana.

Day 2

Okavango Delta (Moremi Game Reserve)

  • Head into the Okavango Delta, one of the world's largest inland deltas, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Spend the day on a mokoro (traditional canoe) or motorboat safari in the Moremi Game Reserve, spotting hippos, elephants, and birdlife. Settle into your lodge or camp for a night under the stars.

Day 3

Okavango Delta (Walking Safari)

  • Take a guided walking safari through the Okavango Delta to observe wildlife up close and learn about the delta's unique ecology. In the afternoon, explore the delta’s labyrinthine channels on a boat, and enjoy a sunset cruise back to your camp.

Day 4

Maun to Kasane

  • Fly from Maun to Kasane, near the Chobe National Park. Explore the town’s markets or take a sunset cruise on the Chobe River, where you might spot elephants swimming across or hippos grazing at the water’s edge.
  • Meal: Breakfast – Lunch - Dinner.

Day 5

Chobe National Park (Game Drive)

  • Go on a game drive in Chobe National Park, known for its large elephant population. Watch lions, buffaloes, and giraffes roam the savannah, and keep an eye out for the elusive leopard. Return to Kasane for a leisurely evening.
  • Meal: Breakfast – Lunch - Dinner.

Day 6

Chobe National Park (River Safari)

  • Embark on a river safari along the Chobe River, where crocodiles bask in the sun and elephants cool off in the water. In the afternoon, join a guided village tour to learn about local life and traditions.

Day 7

Kasane to Gaborone

  • Fly to Gaborone, the capital of Botswana. Visit the National Museum and Art Gallery for an introduction to the country's cultural heritage. Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant to try seswaa, a traditional meat dish.

Day 8

Departure from Gaborone

  • Spend your last morning exploring Gaborone’s craft markets or taking a guided tour to the nearby Kgale Hill. Return to the airport for your departure, leaving Botswana with unforgettable memories.
