Day 2

ARAB-NORMAN GRANDEUR AND THE VALLEY OF THE TEMPLES

  • The morning is dedicated to a deep dive into the history ofAgrigento for a guided exploration of the Valley of the Temples (UNESCO). This archaeological park contains some of the best-preserved Greek temples in the world, including the Temple of Concordia and the Temple of Juno. The evening ends with a local dinner and an overnight stay at the Grand Hotel Mosè or a similar property in the shadows of the ancient ruins. After lunch, you will drive Palermo with a guided tour of the Palazzo dei Normanni (Royal Palace).   • Your third day begins with a drive toward the Peloritani Mountains, stopping first in the medieval village of Forza d’Agrò to visit the Church of Santa Maria Annunziata e Assunta. You then continue to Savoca, one of Italy’s most beautiful villages, where an English-speaking guide will lead you through the filming locations of The Godfather. Day 4

VOLCANIC EXPLORATION AND HIGH-ALTITUDE ENOLOGY

  • Following breakfast, you will travel to Nicolosi, the "Gateway to Etna," to begin a half-day guided tour of the UNESCO-listed volcano. you will board specialized 4x4 off-road trucks to navigate the ash-covered terrain, reaching an altitude of 2,500 meters for a close-up view of the volcanic landscape. You will also visit the Silvestri Craters at 1,900 meters, which are extinct cones formed by the eruption of 1892. In the afternoon, the journey continues 50 kilometers north to Linguaglossa for an orientation tour, followed by an visit to the Gambino Vini estate. Here, you will enjoy a guided cellar tour and a tasting of volcanic wines paired with local delicacies before tring to Catania for dinner.

Day 5

SYRACUSE ANTIQUITY AND THE CROSSING TO MALTA

  • After breakfast, you will travel 219 kilometers across the southern coast to Syracuse, once the most powerful Greek city in the Mediterranean. A guided tour will take you through the Neapolis Archaeological Park, where you will see the massive Greek Theater, the Roman Amphitheater, and the limestone quarries. You will also experience the unique acoustics of the Ear of Dionysius cave. Following lunch, you will continue to the port of Pozzallo to board a high-speed catamaran for the 90-minute crossing to Valletta, Malta. Upon arrival in the evening, a private transfer will bring you to the DoubleTree by Hilton in St. Paul’s Bay for your overnight stay.

Day 6

You will start with a boat trip to the Blue Grotto, where you can admire the iridescent blue waters inside the sea caverns. This is followed by a photo stop in the traditional fishing village of Marsaxlokk, famous for its colorful "Luzzu" boats. After lunch, you will explore the Three Cities of Birgu (Vittoriosa), Senglea, and Cospicua, which served as the primary naval base for the Knights of Malta. You will walk through their fortified bastions and dockyards before enjoying a final farewell dinner to celebrate the conclusion of your Mediterranean tour.

DEPARTURE FOR BENGALURU

  • Because your flight (LH 1315) departs very early at 06:15 AM, you will have a pre-dawn checkout. A private chauffeur will meet you in the hotel lobby for a transfer to Malta International Airport. You will fly via Frankfurt (LH 754) and arrive in Bengaluru (BLR) at 01:20 AM on September 26, concluding your intercontinental journey.

ARRIVAL IN BENGALURU

  • The tour officially concludes with your arrival at Kempegowda International Airport (BLR) in Bengaluru at 01:20. After completing customs and immigration formalities, a final transfer will be provided to your local residence.
