Day 1

Arrival in Pyongyang

  • Upon arrival at Pyongyang International Airport, you'll be greeted by your local guide and transferred to your hotel. After settling in, embark on a city tour starting with the iconic Kim Il-sung Square. This vast public space is often the site of massive parades and is surrounded by important government buildings. Visit the Grand People's Study House, a massive library and learning center, and end your day with a welcome dinner featuring traditional Korean cuisine.

Day 2

Pyongyang Exploration

  • Begin your day with a visit to the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, the mausoleum of Kim Il-sung and Kim Jong-il. Proceed to the Juche Tower, a symbol of North Korea’s guiding ideology, and enjoy panoramic views of the city. In the afternoon, explore the Korean War Museum and the USS Pueblo, a captured American spy ship. Conclude with a leisurely walk around Moranbong Park, a favorite spot for locals.

Day 3

Kaesong and DMZ Tour

  • Travel to Kaesong, the ancient capital of the Koryo Dynasty. Visit the Koryo Museum and the Tomb of King Kongmin. Proceed to the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) at Panmunjom, where North and South Korea meet. This heavily fortified area offers a rare glimpse into the ongoing tensions and hopes for peace on the Korean Peninsula. Return to Pyongyang in the evening.

Day 4

Nampo and West Sea Barrage

  • Drive to the coastal city of Nampo to visit the West Sea Barrage, an impressive dam system that protects the region from tidal waves and regulates water levels. Return to Pyongyang, stopping at the Mangyongdae Native House, the birthplace of Kim Il-sung.

Day 5

Wonsan and Mount Kumgang

  • Head east to the port city of Wonsan, a popular seaside resort. Visit the Wonsan Revolutionary Site and the Songdowon International Children's Union Camp. Continue to Mount Kumgang, one of Korea’s most scenic regions, renowned for its stunning peaks and clear streams. Spend the evening at a mountain resort.

Day 6

Mount Kumgang Exploration

  • Spend a full day exploring the natural beauty of Mount Kumgang. Hike through the Kuryong Waterfall, known for its breathtaking views and serene atmosphere. Visit the Samil Lagoon, a tranquil spot surrounded by lush greenery. Enjoy a picnic lunch amidst the stunning landscapes and return to Wonsan for the night.

Day 7

Return to Pyongyang and Departure

  • Return to Pyongyang with a stop at the Masikryong Ski Resort, a premier winter sports destination. In Pyongyang, visit the Arch of Triumph and take a ride on the Pyongyang Metro, one of the deepest subway systems in the world. Conclude your tour with a farewell dinner before your transfer to the airport for departure.
