Day 2
Kigali City Tour
Explore Kigali with a city tour that includes visits to the Kigali Genocide Memorial, which offers a poignant insight into Rwanda's history, and the Kimironko Market, where you can experience local life and shop for traditional crafts. End the day with a visit to the Presidential Palace Museum.

Day 3
Transfer to Musanze
Depart for Musanze (Ruhengeri), a scenic drive through rolling hills and lush landscapes. On arrival, check into your lodge near Volcanoes National Park. In the afternoon, visit the Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village to learn about Rwandan culture and traditions.

Day 4
Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park
Embark on an unforgettable gorilla trekking adventure in Volcanoes National Park. Hike through the dense forest to encounter one of the park's habituated gorilla families. Day 6
Transfer to Gisenyi
Travel to Gisenyi on the shores of Lake Kivu. Enjoy a leisurely afternoon by the lake, taking in the beautiful views and relaxing on the sandy beaches. Optional activities include kayaking, swimming, and visiting local coffee plantations.

Day 7
Lake Kivu Boat Tour
Embark on a boat tour of Lake Kivu, exploring its islands and scenic shorelines. Visit the hot springs in Nyamyumba and enjoy a picnic on one of the islands. Return to Gisenyi for an evening at leisure.

Day 8
Transfer to Kibuye
Head to Kibuye, another charming town on Lake Kivu. En route, stop at the Pfunda Tea Plantation for a guided tour. In Kibuye, visit the Ndaba Falls and the Genocide Memorial Church. Spend the evening at your lakeside hotel.

Transfer to Huye (Butare)

Nyungwe Forest National Park
Travel to Nyungwe Forest National Park, one of Africa's oldest rainforests. Upon arrival, embark on a canopy walk, a thrilling experience offering panoramic views of the forest. In the evening, settle into your lodge nestled in the heart of the forest.

Day 11
Chimpanzee Trekking in Nyungwe Forest
Set out early for a chimpanzee trekking adventure. Nyungwe Forest is home to several groups of chimpanzees, and tracking them through the dense forest is an exhilarating experience. In the afternoon, explore the forest further with guided nature walks, spotting other primates and a variety of bird species.

Return to Kigali and Departure
Return to Kigali. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have time for some last-minute shopping or additional sightseeing. Transfer to Kigali International Airport for your departure. |
